Harbourfront Wealth Management Inc. is a fast-growing, independently owned firm with offices across Canada. The firm specializes in creating complete wealth management solutions for high net worth clients. We are looking for a qualified Supervisor, Investment Operations to join us in our downtown Vancouver office. The candidate will be an integral part of the Operations team, with responsibilities that will grow with us.

You will be responsible for:

▪ Supervise day-to-day business processing activities of the Operations team, monitor workload balance with resources, ensure processes are adhering to established operating procedures and completed within service standards
▪ Provide on-going training, support, and service advice to Operations Associates for consistent understanding of processing procedures
▪ Assist with setting performance goals and performance coaching throughout the year
▪ Contribute to operational changes and achieving maximum processing efficiency
▪ Attend and/or organize regular service calls with Carrying Broker
▪ Assist with organizing and preparing quarterly branch service calls
▪ Develop and document processing procedures as required
▪ Handle escalated processing and client service issues for timely resolution and to deliver a high-quality service experience
▪ Assist with processing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements from Carrying Broker
▪ Collaborate with other team leaders to achieve common goals, adherence to internal policies/external regulatory requirements, and branch service satisfaction
▪ Assist with developing and monitoring quality control practices to maintain high accuracy output
▪ Assist and support Senior Manager, Operations and Director, Special Projects with other duties and projects as assigned

The ideal candidate for this position has:
✓ Minimum of 7 years of investment industry supervisory experience, preferably with an IIROC member firm in an operations role
✓ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
✓ Strong written and verbal communication skills
✓ Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Brokerage order and Interface systems
✓ Ability to work well under pressure and meet required deadlines
✓ Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced work environment
✓ Effective organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills
✓ Preference given to candidates with securities industry qualifications
