Canadian wealth manager Harbourfront Wealth Group has named a new chief executive, as the company explores potential investors.

The firm revealed on Tuesday morning that Richard McIntryre assumed the role on Monday. He replaces Danny Popescu, a former executive at National Bank Financial who founded the business in 2013.

Popescu will become executive chair of the company, remaining involved in long-term strategy and M&A initiatives.
